DR. SHAINA STEWART SOULE

Veterinarian

Dr. Shaina Stewart graduated from NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Prior to veterinary school she received a Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science from Clemson University. Dr. Stewart has been a member of PetSound Animal Hospital's team since November 2013, working as a veterinary technician throughout vet school. When she is not practicing medicine, Dr. Stewart enjoys hiking with her German Shepherds. She is an avid fan of all Clemson sports teams.

KEVIN A. MONCE, DVM

Diplomatic American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialty: Internal Medicine

Dr. Kevin Monce opened the doors of PetSound Animal Hospital in January 2005 to Cary and other surrounding communities. Prior to opening, Dr. Monce practiced 5 years of general medicine in northern Kentucky and 11 years as a referral internal medicine specialist throughout the eastern areas of North Carolina. Dr. Monce is a graduate of Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. He attended North Carolina State University for his internal medicine specialty and in 1994, became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine for small animals. Dr. Monce's professional interests include diagnostic and internal medicine, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. When he is not practicing medicine he enjoys the company of his daughters and canine and feline companions. His hobbies include home improvement, entertainment systems and landscaping his Cary home. Dr. Monce is also an avid sports fan, following Kentucky basketball and Auburn football.

Please call us at (919) 851-4114 with any questions regarding appointments, ongoing treatments, or emergencies. 

Our lobby will remain closed until further notice.

OFFICE PROCEDURES:

-We ask that clients remain in their vehicle with all communications being done over speaker phone throughout the visit. A technician will come out to your vehicle and bring your pet inside for the veterinarian to proceed with the exam or treatment.


-Please remove all personal items from your pet as they cannot be kept with the pet while in the hospital, including harnesses, collars, leashes, etc.


-Please understand that we are practicing the 'social distancing' recommendations and maintaining a distance of 6 feet from others and we will not be shaking hands.

-Discharges will be done over the phone by a technician or veterinarian prior to bringing your pet out to your vehicle. A receptionist will collect payment over the phone as well.

-It is essential that anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough or shortness of breath) or has traveled to an area of the United States with a high incidence of COVID-19 call us in advance so that we may contact public health officials and discuss how to proceed with your pets appointment.
