Testimonials
We met Dr. Monce at a small rescue event, and at the outset, we were frustrated that the event only brought in a couple of dollars. We had no idea
what we received at that event was the greatest donation a rescue could hope for!

Dr. Monce has opened his practice to our pugs, volunteers and adoptive families. Few vets these days practice old fashioned medicine the way he
does, taking whatever time is needed to explain medical conditions, and always being willing to explore alternative treatments.

We work with vets across six states, and so often it seems more and more vets are only in the business of making money, meeting quotas, and selling
their products. Dr. Monce takes time to get to know each pug. He loves on them, puts his hands on them, and helps us deal with each one in the least
invasive way possible.

His willingness to take phone calls late at night, meet us at the clinic at odd hours, and help us deal with the urgent needs of rescues never ceases to
amaze me. He has worked miracles on pugs other vets would have euthanized, sending them on to happy, healthy lives and he has stood by us when
those come in that just can't be saved. The work he does for these rescues calls for tremendous heart and strength of character. He has never turned
us away. Dr. Monce's work has raised the barre to a level that few people, or vets, will ever be able to match. He is our hero.

Dr. Kevin Monce is the finest veterinarian I have ever taken my dogs to. Dr. Monce is personable and makes you feel right at home in his office and is
genuinely passionate about the animals welfare.  We need more vets on this earth like him.

Dr Monce truly cares about his patients and I always look forward to going to his office for a visit. He diagnosed my black lab mix, Cassie, right away
with her skin and ear problems.  I had taken her to several veterinarians that could not pinpoint her problem. After my first visit with Dr. Monce, he
diagnosed the problem immediately and Cassie is doing great.

My first contact with Dr. Monce was a few months ago when I brought him my two foster puppies that had just been admitted into the Second Chance
Pet Adoptions program. His staff and volunteers were so friendly and helpful and his schedule is so flexible that it made their spay/neuter surgery very
convenient for this working Mom. He's been such a blessing to so many of our Second Chance dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens. As a matter of fact, I
was so impressed with his personal attention to me and to these puppies, that I started taking my own dogs to him.

As recently as last Saturday my poor puppy got caught in a wire garden fence and managed to stab himself in the chest in the process of trying to
release himself. Of course I panicked but I immediately thought of Dr. Monce who answered the phone (himself) and didn't hesitate to let me bring
Dexter in immediately. This was in the midst of trying to conduct a Christmas party for his staff (including mopping, decorating, etc.) but it didn't seem to
faze him. I was just so amazed and grateful that Dr. Monce is such "jack of all trades" and managed to work my emergency into his busy schedule. He
even said, before calling an emergency clinic, call him weekends and evening and leave a message if necessary, because unless he's at his
daughter's soccer matches, he's probably available - now who does that anymore! I am so very impressed with this man and the services he provides
and I tell everyone I know about him! Thanks so much Doc, you're the best vet I've ever known and I wish you every success with PetSound.

Dr. Monce and his entire staff are truly friends to the abandoned and abused Boston Terriers who are rescued by Boston Terrier Rescue of North
Carolina. We not only value the medical expertise of PetSound Animal Hospital, but the kindness and compassion shown to our Rescues by Dr. Monce
and his staff.

Dr. Monce has always made himself and his Clinic available to help these dogs for a variety of medical problems.  He has treated everything from
general updates on shots to the more serious medical issues of heartworms, infected teeth, cancerous tumors and Cushing’s disease. He has also
consulted with us on aggressive behavior issues.

Whenever we have emergency situations, we find temporary veterinary assistance for the dog until we can began the process of arranging
transportation to Dr. Monce for any long term care needed.  If it is not possible to get the dog to Dr. Monce, we always call to get his advice and expert
medical opinion.

All the Boston’s who have been fortunate enough to receive treatment at PetSound have gone on to enjoy healthier lives with the wonderful families
who have adopted them. Members of Dr. Monce’s staff adopted two of these Boston’s!

All of us with Boston Terrier Rescue are truly grateful for Dr. Monce and his staff.  There are a lot of Boston Terriers in the Southeast who are alive and
well today thanks to the treatment they received at PetSound!
